Re: ubuntu update not working properly

    Interesting.

Sounds to me like you're not updating your Windows 10 OS on a regular bases.

    I run Windows 10 Professional 64bit on a 2010 Dell Optiplex 380 with a Core 2 Duo E7500 (2.93GHz)...

    Re: What's it Worth?

I'm not a hard core gamer however I do play some games.
I'm into X plane Fight Simulator and spent a great deal of money on X plane Flight Simulator that would install and run on Linux however what...
  7. Re: I properly have one of the meanest looking cat out there

    He does look mean.

    I bet he's spoiled rotten.

We have several cats and they think every chair in the house.

I just dump them out and sit down and a few minutes later the cat that got...
  8. Re: KVM switch. Didn't know I needed it till I had it!

I have a KVM switch from the old days that has 4 ports and a rotary type switch to switch between the boxes and it's cool.

I found it at a garage sale brand new and unopened with all the necessary...
  9. Re: Firefox 89 - looking for the page actions menu.

Perhaps so and I may be wrong about having 2 versions of Firefox installed running so yeah see what happens.
  10. Re: Firefox 89 - looking for the page actions menu.

I've always heard that you could run one or the other but not both because one may conflict with the other.
  11. Re: What is the future potential to having a Ubuntu Linux Tablet?

I think my RCA tablet is going to become a disposable device it doesn't appear to be supported by the installer either and what's in the list kinda seems like not everything works if it does install....
  12. Re: What is the future potential to having a Ubuntu Linux Tablet?

From what I've grazed over the article it sounds as though it's possible.

I'm sure willing to give it a try and if it breaks my tablet ain't no big deal on a count of it's no longer supported...
  13. Re: What is the future potential to having a Ubuntu Linux Tablet?

    That's super duper.

I'm going to have a good look at this and see if I can tun my old RCA android tablet into a working Ubuntu tablet as I see it as a win win situation with nothing to lose.
  14. Re: Firefox 89 - looking for the page actions menu.

Well about all I can say about Firefox 89 is that it's different and gonna take a bit to get used to.

I had to disable hardware acceleration because it created issues with streaming Youtube...
  15. [SOLVED] Re: installation with older NVIDIA graphics card (GNOME previously failed with Debian

Is that only for Ubuntu or is that for Ubuntu and Ubuntu official flavors.

I recently installed Xubuntu 20.04.2 and checked the option to install non-free third party software hoping to get an...

Re: I repliced a fan in my PSU

The fact the fan starts to spin when you press on it shows some sort of binding.

I'd loosen the four fan screws and then evenly tighten them but don't over tighten.

    If that fails remove the...

I'm confused because everything I read about Nvidia and Wayland says that a Nvidia proprietary graphics driver is needed to run Wayland with an Nvidia graphics card.

I did try to run Wayland and I...
