I had been successfully using this script with Ubuntu 8.10 and 9.04 to obtain sound support on an Acer Aspire 8930 (plus a few other tweaks mentioned in another thread), but it appears to not work...
Although related, I believe that bug is for a separate issue, and I've created Bug #351378 for research and workarounds of the problem where DHCP can't be used with virtual interfaces.
