I fully understand, that in order to "optimize" or "set up" my monitor properly, is that I have to use the xorg.conf file to specify its settings.
Here are the specs of my monitor that I use...
here is what I did:
1) Extract the file that you have downloaded by double-clicking on it (I assume you have some sort of .tar compression program installed). Then extract it to your desktop.
