If it were done a few years ago, I'd happily shell out the same asking price as the Windows version for Word, Excel, Outlook and Access -- these days though, Google Drive does most everything I need...
Yeah, I'm familiar with that project. They're doing a great job with it.
After some considerable editing I've come up with a successful mimic of the Zune player across all applications! (though Notepad is more of a container/hack than anything)...

Good evening gentlemen, it's been a while.

I've never really heard any disdain for Linux as a server base. It's well-regarded on that front, it's mostly the desktop that seems to get all the criticism -- and most of that, from what I see, is...
Way overdue, but looking really ace. Looking forward to it :KS
First thoughts using Natty:
1: Oh my god this is utterly hideous.
2: Where are all the options, and what happened to 'Places'?
3: Where's the menu bar?
Initial tests confused the hell out...
Damn, and here I thought people just used desktop Linux because it's actually good! How silly of me.

Changing tabs by clicking them is for noobs anyway, real men use ctrl-tab or mouse gestures.
EDIT: Oh wait this thread is 6 months old.
I'm waiting to see what they actually come up with in terms of visual style before I say what I think of this or that new feature with regards to customisation. I doubt they'll be sticking with the...
I generally am fine with it. I don't post information about myself I don't want others to know to the internet, be it Facebook or any other website -- that's just common sense.
I haven't had the best chance to test it at length (Fedora alpha kept freezign on me) but my initial impression is good. It feels very nice to use and is a huge step-up in presentation from GNOME 2....
Frankly I think the guy makes a hell of a lot of valid points. I haven't seen a single proper rebuttal to any of them in this thread, just a lot of knee-jerk, "la la la I'm not listening" reactions....
Yeah it really is a hideous OS from an artist's perspective.
After having used both Macs and PCs (for lack of a better term) I can say Macs have advantages in the following areas:
Style
Trendiness
Other makes have advantages in the following areas:

Whaaat... man, kids these days, they speak a language of their own.
Uh... doesn't "dog's bollocks" imply that it sucks?
