  1. Re: Unable to parse Unattended-Upgrade::Allowed-Origins

You should now have enough wiggle room to work with.
It might be possible to get more space.
A reboot should boot into the newer 5.4.0-89 kernel as it's now shown as properly installed.
  2. Re: Unable to parse Unattended-Upgrade::Allowed-Origins

    What happens if you run

    sudo apt autoremove --purge

[SOLVED] Re: Upgrading Paths for 20.04 to 21.10

That's how it worked when support for Non-LTS was 18 months.
However as the support for such releases has dropped to only nine months now,
they've since changed to make the upgrades skip the dead...
  4. Re: Unable to parse Unattended-Upgrade::Allowed-Origins

So it shows that boot is full, which even though it's on it's own partition still affects the updating.
With over 900MB used that means you must have a whole bunch of old outdated kernels.

  7. Re: Unable to parse Unattended-Upgrade::Allowed-Origins

    The config looks fine.
The only option I've found for anyone with this issue that seemed to work is to try is to purge unattended-upgrades and reinstall it.
Maybe also move or remove the current...
  8. Re: I forgot to check the block to install 3rd party software

It's not something most users would even think to do as when you check the box in the installer the repos all get enabled.
But on a clean install without checking the box only the main (Canonical)...
  9. Re: I forgot to check the block to install 3rd party software

In Software and Updates, enable the multiverse repository.
Then run an apt update to reload the sources.
  10. Re: Unable to parse Unattended-Upgrade::Allowed-Origins

    How did you set it?
Did you make changes to the 50unattended-upgrades file?
  11. Re: I want to upgrade from 18.04 to get to 21.04...what hurdles will confront me?

You can only go to 20.04 from 18.04.
And then you an only go to 21.04 from 20.04.
All other channels are now EOL and closed.
In a few weeks you might be able to jump from 20.04 to 22.04 when the...

  15. Re: Ubuntu 21.10 virtual desktop settings

You can thank gnome for completely changing a setup which worked well for what it was and did.

  16. Re: Ubuntu 20.04 doesn’t detect second monitor (AMD)

    Update your system.
The kernel version in use is a year out of date.

If after updating it still has issues, you might require the hardware enablement stack.
  17. Re: How is ZFS coming in Ubuntu's development of it?

    That's a big jump,
from when will it be included to when will it be the default.
    Those are totally different things.
As far as I know there is no plan to make it the default file system.
  18. Re: Looking to upgrade Kubuntu 18.04 to 20.04 (command line)

    It won't install Ubuntu's desktop.
It won't change your partitioning scheme.

I hope you have read through the Kubuntu release notes to see what will be changed?...
  19. Re: How is ZFS coming in Ubuntu's development of it?

You'd probably get a more thorough answer here:

As far as I know ZFS is already included. At least on the kernel side of things.
But it seems that only the Desktop...

It's a setting in Files Preferences, which your's is currently set to ask.
