I use Windows XP as a VM using VirtualBox.....I can do everything in a virtual machine just as a normal XP user.

I had the same problem too.....But I formatted my previous installation and installed a fresh one.....Currently on Lucid Lynx and very happy :)

I would really miss GNOME 2......would check out the Unity or GNOME3 DE soon.....

I am using two-finger scrolling feature in Ubuntu 10.10 and i am really impressed.....It has made the task of zooming and scrolling easier.....

Though it needs a little time to get familiar with...

Try changing the network adapter type in the Oracle Virtualbox and see if it helps you.
