OK, this is crazy.
I tried to remove both packages. With the language-pack-en I got an error saying it wasn't installed, so I thought 'OK I will remove the other one'
When trying to remove...
Trying to use UCK to build a custom Ubuntu distro, but have hit a snag.
I select EN as the language and select the ISO image to use, UCK then does the first part of the build, but after trying to...
I get what you mean now mate. That does seem a bit strange, but these distros are not supported by the same people. That is the only thing I can think of.
Anyway, sorry to disturb the original...
Why do the dates/versions confuse you?
12.04 is April 2012
13.10 is October 2013
Basically it is the year & then the month as a number.

I am using Ubuntu 12.04 & am using grdesktop to RDP to various servers.
To make life easier I have saved the configuration files, but if I double click on the files, they open in gedit. I would like...
That is exactly the answer I wanted.
Why I couldn't see that I do not know :)
Anyway, many thanks for that.
Anyone?
This may have been covered before, but I have not fouind it yet.
Where is the Connect to Server GUI in Ubuntu 12.10?
I have searched unity toolbar, but not seeing it.
Any ideas?
I always used to...

Totally agree.
If you don't give out info, how can people help?
I have just switched to Cinnamon & have found that applications open in a slit second.
With Unity it could take a fair bit longer.
It can be a trial to install, unless you know what to do.
I will...
