Nah... I only installed it a few days ago! When I first saw "Shiretoko" I got freaked out, did a search to find out what the $%^&#$ it was and read it was a beta.
My mistake... I thought I saw "Beta" in my installation's "about" screen.
I guess I understand the distinction, but in the case of something like the default browser I consider this is a...

Maybe someone could develop a form of login karma where how productive you are in a session determines how well your system runs on your next reboot?
Sorry, couldn't resist. :)
I actually think...
You could also just add "Window List" and whatever other gnome applets you want to the top panel and live without a bottom panel... It frees up a little more desktop real-estate. :)

...oh wait. Maybe I should just drink Coke and quit complaining. :D
Sorry for if this...
LOL... probably not the exact branding the Ubuntu team is looking for, but I like it! :)
Actually, I believe if you are have Compiz-Fusion enabled you can use Emerald to get transparency.

If you just want to do some cartoon style animation, KToon might be an option... http://ktoon.toonka.com/index.php
I have never personally used it, so I can't really vouch for the quality or ease...
I agree with smartboyathome... I've tried both and have been much happier with Inkscape so far.
Of course there's no reason you can't test em both and form your own opinion as well... That's part...
That is assuming people don't mind making it work. The average Linux user enjoys this part of the process, at least to some extent. But there are a lot of people out there that just want to have it...
