Found K3B as per instructions and all attempts to load failed so used Brasero which worked fine.

The idea was to burn a live CD of xubuntu so I thought I had done everything necessary to use Synaptic to load K3B.

But how do I find K3B now that I've installed it ?

On my Compaq laptop I have a dual installation of Ubuntu 10.04 and Windows XP Home.

Using Windows a VGA cable connection to my TV works as expected.

Don't know what I did but the top panel and all it's usefulness has disappeared.
