    Followed the instructions on https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM.
    I have verified the md5 hash and when I go to burn the iso again still sitting at creating image checksum.

    [ubuntu] Brasero stuck at "creating image checksum"

    When I try to burn an iso, audio cd, dvd, anything brasero sits at creating image checksum. Tried changing speeds, uninstalling and reinstalling. Any ideas?

    I ran that command and rebooted. The filesystem does not mount. I can go to places and click on it and it mounts and then I can open Firefox without a problem.
