I did what you said but the minute i got into the file it's blank?
The wireless in ubuntu 10.10 is really bad I can be one wall or even on the other side of the room and I will keep losing connection from my router.

This is a major problem and I would like to know what I can do to fix it.
So I've had this problem ever since i installed Ubuntu Netbook Remix and I have no idea why it does it but when it boots into the operating system just before the ubuntu icon shows up this error...
So I've had Ubuntu Netbook Remix on my Asus EeePC 1005HA for a little while now and I've had this problem since I installed it but it's happening more recently now and it's getting really annoying....
Thanks for the help I figured it out, I messed with the repositories and I guess screwed it up so I reverted it back to default and now it's working.
Not 100% what I did but I can't remove it and when i try the command without the $ it gives me

I tried both and got

So I recently installed Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.10 on my Asus 1005HA and it's amazing, works perfectly and all but when I try and install any type of java from the add/remove panel I always get this...
Figured it out yea I tried that after and it didn't work but it wasn't working becuase one of the slash's were backwards.
So I installed Ubuntu 8.10 through Wubi becuase I still want to use my slave hard drive as a storage drive but also want to dual boot with Ubuntu, anyway once I installed Ubuntu using Wubi everything...

What version and are you sure it will run?... i looked into puppy linux already but it requirements are to high for the laptop.
