I'm still not sure how to do this unfortunately, I had a script that did this but I ended up deleting it without backing it up. I think it made a FIFO pipe and it worked liked awesomewm's...

did you try removing it from the usb port and plugging it up again? What's the model of the mouse by the way?

hmm, USB mouse or PS2? Oh and are you using a kvm switch?

Mouse going crazy or is a keyboard button stuck? If it's the mouse going crazy please post your /etc/X11/xorg.conf
