    Take a look in /etc/fstab, that's where the device names and corresponding UUIDs are defined.

    Sounds to me like you're not shutting down, but just closing the lid. If that's not the case, it could be a CMOS problem.

    An update to the previous post:
    The subdirectories + fonts in /usr/share/fonts/truetype should all have root:root ownership and 755 access rights. This will make the fonts available to all users.

    Simple:
    sudo apt update - fetches the updates
    sudo apt upgrade - installs the updates
    sudo apt autoremove - removes remnants

    "Font Manager" is unfortunately a tool for the Gnome desktop. Mine is LXQt (Lubuntu 19.10).
    Muon is my default package manager, but removing the fonts from here made my Writer inoperable, the fonts...

    So far so good.
