    Re: PHP performance

    i'm on php7 but yeah it is installed.

    Some of it is just going to be slow due to the number of rows being returned. It is weather data so pretty much the only thing ever in the where clause is...

    Re: PHP performance

    Pretty sure...How do I verify that?

    I found that there was some mySQL update held back on the db sever which I forced to update and that seem to improve performance.

    the Apache process is the CPU hog. The DB is on another server.

    Re: PHP performance

    SOme of it is the SQL querry taking a while. But the CPU on the web server takes a beating too so some of the blame has to be there.

  8. Re: How do i control the number of apache servers that start

    It appears that these setting in the apache config have little to no effect:
    <IfModule mpm_prefork_module>
    StartServers 3
    MinSpareServers 0
    MaxSpareServers 5
    ...
  9. How do i control the number of apache servers that start

    When I look at the "server-status" page it show 18 servers started all using 300 plus megs of memory which is killing my sever. How do I limit the number that start?

    Thanks,
    Peter
