  4. Re: unable to do anything with USB Flash Disk- no medium found

If you used it as an installer with the hybrid DVD/flash configuration, it has no partition(s). You normally have to zero out beginning of drive, so you then can add normal partitions.

    Reset USB...
  5. Re: Booting Windows only if USB flash disk is plugged in.

UEFI boots external devices from /EFI/Boot/bootx64.efi. Which is usually shimx64.efi with Ubuntu and whatever .efi file Windows uses to boot with. Not sure Windows can boot an internal install from...

[lubuntu] Re: ALERT UUID does not exist (nvme drive)

It seems like the updates did not fully complete.
So you need to update initramfs.

And update all the kernels from there?...

  10. [SOLVED] Re: Can't access Ubuntu on Ubuntu 18.04/Windows dual boot

  11. [SOLVED] Re: my multiple os desktop computer is not having the option to load fedora at startu

You need to mount it, so it is seen.

Then you can boot into Fedora and...

    Re: Phantom SSD after upgrade

  19. Re: Booting Windows only if USB flash disk is plugged in.

But it is not seeing your NTFS partitions. And that is a Windows issue.

  20. Re: Booting Windows only if USB flash disk is plugged in.

  21. Re: Booting Windows only if USB flash disk is plugged in.

I have installed grub to flash drives just for booting ISOs. But always from a working install of Ubuntu.

You can download grub, but have to compile it yourself, then.
  22. Re: Booting Windows only if USB flash disk is plugged in.

The unknown file system is often just Windows fast start up on which sets the hibernation flag, preventing the Linux NTFS driver from seeing the NTFS partitions. Or chkdsk required if NTFS or fsck if...
  23. [ubuntu] Re: Can't boot Ubuntu 18.04 from external hard drive.
