Re: How do you like your coffee?

Macciato: Strong shot of espresso with a touch of foamy milk. I make my coffee in a Bialleti Moka Express, best way to make a cup of coffee short of buying an expensive coffee machine.

If you go to https://meego.com/downloads/releases/1.2/meego-v1.2-netbooks you can download the Meego Netbook Edition, which is the continuation of Moblin. Haven fun!

    Hey fellow Ubuntu users!

I am a computer science student with lots of experience in Java and C, but I never really tried any web programming, so this week I decided to build my own website with an...

    Re: Gmail Alert!

Government officials should not be using gmail for secret/sensitive information, and their communications should be required to be fully encrypted. This seems like common sense to me :S

    Poll: Re: Do you smoke?

LOL, trying a cigarette does not make me a former smoker!

Although I suppose living in an urban environment does make me a passive smoker :(

    Re: Google Searches

If you're using SSL to connect to website, I don't know how the ISP is supposed to know what you're doing? SSL provides end to end encryption between you and the server, so middlemen cannot decrypt...

    Poll: Re: Do you smoke?

You don't have the enough choices, I imagine there are a lot of people who "have tried a cigarette but don't smoke". I can't say I have never smoked because I have tried a cigarette, but I can't say...

[ubuntu] Re: gnome3 , compiz and conky....

Regarding cssm, the gnome-shell in Gnome 3 doesn't use compiz, it uses Mutter for it's compositing, so cssm won't work.
  10. Re: Wish Nautilus had more features found in Win7

    Just add the line

    ServerAliveInterval 60

to /etc/ssh_config, this will make the client send a keep alive signal to the server every 60 seconds, this way the session will never time out.

    I...

Re: faceflow a possible alternative to Skype?

A port to Android does not equal development of Desktop Linux/OSX port ... each are quite different platforms.
  12. Re: Mozilla Firefox, NVIDIA and YouTube Bring 3D HTML5 Video to the Web

I don't like the 3D because it looks so obviously fake, and instead of adding any quality to a movie it is just a distraction, and I really hope good quality films don't start doing it because I know...

Consider Phlebas by Iain M. Banks would make an EPIC Sci-Fi movie!
  14. Re: Mozilla Firefox, NVIDIA and YouTube Bring 3D HTML5 Video to the Web

The 3D movies I've seen were terrible, and the 3D itself gave me slight headaches. It is a completely unnecessary "technology" which IMO is just a gimmick, I really really hope it dies ...
  15. Re: Mozilla Firefox, NVIDIA and YouTube Bring 3D HTML5 Video to the Web

NVidia supports 3D display hardware and 3D video decoding on Linux, I've seen the support mentioned in many of their driver changelogs. There just aren't any programs that use it atm, and not enough...

Re: Ordered Thinkpad T420 without windows.

Damn I should've thought of doing that! I bought a Thinkpad Edge 11, arrived last week and I'm loving it. Came with Win 7, but I also have free licenses available from my school, and I hardly use it...

    Re: Buying a netbook

Nvidia ION based netbooks can handle 1080p, 720p works perfectly on my AMD/Radeon based netbook using VAAPI, I haven't tried a 1080p video yet though. Nvidia ION based netbook should be able to...

  25. [ubuntu] Re: Fixing HDAPS (harddrisk protection) on Thinkpad Edge 15

I've got exactly the same problem on my Thinkpad Edge 11. The driver loads fine, but when testing with jstest I just get a static 0 on both axes, and neverball doesn't work.
