    Try running the command ...

    sudo apt --fix-broken install

    Re: ultra thin laptops

That is at least 20 of "those mm things", a bit too thick for shaving alright :). I think you may have meant very few "of those cm things" (about 2 centimetres in this case). Metric, don't ya just...
  4. Re: Start a command in "startup application preferences" in silent mode so gui is hid

Having just looked at "man paprefs" is seems that there are no built in options to "start minimized/hidden". Probably because it is a program that does not need to "run in the background" and it is...

Re: Trying to stream audio over LAN

I have done exactly that but over a wired LAN network; streaming audio over RTP with pulseaudio. I had good results on pi 3b+ and pi 4b units; no pausing at all. My slowest pi unit, LAN wise, is a pi...

  11. [SOLVED] Re: Problem with mount point when mounting a squashfs backup

You created /mnt/sys-backup but are trying to mount to /mnt/sys_backup. Try changing the underscore in the mount location to a "-" (dash) instead of an "_" (underscore).

    The underscore in the...
  12. Re: Lubuntu. Installed an application and cannot find it anywhere even after reboot

    Try the command...

    which dicomscope
... in the terminal. That should pick up the location of a newly installed applications executable. This applies only if the executable is named the same as...

    Re: Ubuntu bash terminal

It may be the file in /etc/sudoers.d on raspbian installs, called "010_pi-nopasswd" (or something like that, I am on my laptop not a pi unit, so I may have not have spelt the file name correctly).

Re: Have you upgraded to 20.04?

Not yet for myself; though I did do an Xubuntu 20.04 install (clean/fresh install) for another person a few months ago; it ran very well.

I'll probably wait until Xenial is EOL in April 2021...
  19. Re: Are there 32bit Linux versions still supported?

Standard support end of life for 16.04 is April 2021, so not quite right but only about five months left to go. With the use of ESM the end of life for 16.04 can be as far off as April 2024. Source....

  24. Re: check for installed (objects?) via terminal

You're right there, thanks; I put it in without thinking earlier as a habit with using apt/apt-get. The code box command is now changed.
  25. Re: check for installed (objects?) via terminal

Anything installed can be removed using apt or apt-get, though doing so may remove wanted applications as well due to dependency issues. I don't really comprehend exactly what you are asking for...
