Re: 9.10 acts slow compared to 9.04

My girlfriends MSI Wind is fubar now also in 9.10. I remember reading that 10.04 would be the fix date for her netbook. So back on 9.04 until then. :(

Easiest thing would be launch it at startup. Not a pretty solution but should work.

[ubuntu] Re: playing dvds with the new ubuntu 64 bit

I do playback on my 64 bit os. So unless it is hardware specific bug. Dunno. I would reinstall it all from the mediabuntu repo.

[ubuntu] Re: playing dvds with the new ubuntu 64 bit

What ajgreeny said. Be sure to grab gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly . For some reason that does not automatically install, and will cause problems.

    [ubuntu] Re: Microphone HELP!

It likes to mute itself. Check to make sure mic is not muted. You may have more than 1 mic jack.
  25. [ubuntu] Re: Why does audio sound so much better in Windows???

Sadly nothing is perfect. If it were not for nagging virus issues then would be using Windows myself. You might try removing pulse. Pulse is ok but not perfect.
