[ubuntu] Re: Closed Downloads folder keeps regenerating

Do you mean "Show Transmission icon in the notification area"? Nope

Firefox was set to save to Desktop

[ubuntu] Re: Closed Downloads folder keeps regenerating

For me, it was the Transmission bittorrent client.
    It was reported here:
    https://trac.transmissionbt.com/ticket/1902
    http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=518792

    But these bug...

[ubuntu] Re: Closed Downloads folder keeps regenerating

Bothering me too. It never actually has anything in it. Just keeps coming back once in a while. I'll pay attention to the time-of-creation next time it reappears. Maybe that will give a clue.

    Re: Anyone try Techsavvy?

I'm with Teksavvy now. I have the DSL version with the 5M speed and 200GB/month cap. I've never gone over it, and I really do get the advertised speed when I'm torrenting something. I'm downtown....
  5. [ubuntu] Re: Mouse Suddenly stops functioning, replugging doesn't work

This is a problem that has been around for a while. And there are threads about it, which I'm trying to find now, which is how I came across this one.

I have exactly the same symptoms. Mouse stops...

Re: Forum member count vs time?

    You're welcome.

Yeah, that makes sense. I guess it has to turn into that eventually. And with that in mind, I can see how the bottom graph could start looking like a normal distribution soon,...

Re: Forum member count vs time?

Here are two graphs. The upper is forum # vs month. I had planned to do by week (or even day) but that would take way too long. I suppose that if the backend of this forum is some kind of SQL it...

I've already started collecting the data. Just by month for now though. I'll post the results when I finish.

Re: Forum member count vs time?

It occurs to me now that what I want should actually be quite simple, and that I explained it badly in my first post.

I would just like to see total number of members vs time. Everyone has an ID#...

    Forum member count vs time?

    Hi,

I was wondering if records still exist for how many forum members there were here on a given date all the way back to the beginning. And if so, if it would be easy to compile the data and show...

Re: Questions about the future of Linux

A good counter example is the case of CentOS and Red Hat. Red Hat is now "commercial", but CentOS takes all the code and repackages it as a freely distributable distro. If all the popular distros...

I'm playing FF7 now for the first time. I haven't read much of this thread because I'm afraid of spoilers, but I agree that it is definitely one of the best. I've played plenty of RPGs including...

Re: Display exact date of older posts

That's okay. The part of me that was sure it was a joke thought it was funny.

Well, I give up. I don't feel like arguing with the powers that be over this.

Re: PCSX2 0.9.3 Released for Linux!
