okay, so ubuntu studio karmic is out..and since a lot of people have had issues with the jaunty release of ubuntu studuio (system freezes on log in and stuff) i assume that these issues would have...

i have the same problem. aside from that i keep getting this weird hissing sound coming from my speakers when the TonePort is connected...kinda like how heavy wind sounds during a snowstorm.

so....after several failed attempts with Ubuntu Studio i decided to go back to standard jaunty...i'll just get the studio packages on that... sigh..
hopefully the karmic release will be more...
ok, so if the "solution" would be to install the Ubuntu Studio packages on Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty (standard), then what's the point of having an Ubuntu Studio release? wouldn't that make it a bit...
no doubt about that... i just wanted to test out Studio...mainly for the audio editing suites and all :P but hopefully someone has a fix for this

i have a similar problem on my presario F700 notebook. my resolution's fine and everything, even the nVidia drivers are properly installed and i get the desktop effects too. yet in the display...
