Ubuntu actually no longer has a Netbook Edition, Ubuntu is now suitable for desktop, laptop & netbooks.
So just install regular Ubuntu or upgrade your 10.10 install :)

i like the idea but i wouldnt implement it with .sh files for many reasons.

Maybe an option for USC to "Package select apps onto USB Stick", so then when the stick is inserted into another ubuntu...

press ALT + f2 and type "gksu nautilus", enter your password and that gives you root access to the file manager

have you tried a recent version, you might find that it'll work without the print drivers.

The themes you see at art.gnome.com are no longer compatible with ubuntu, the most you can do is change the window theme and background at the moment.

i dont have a kindle yet but i use the apps on my android and mac, and its awesome. i just love how i can ready a book on my mac and when i get tired pick it up from where i left off on my phone....

i dont think removing evolution will remove the messaging menu, its not just evolution that uses it.

I'm getting the htc hero. because it is awesome.

syncs your contcts with facebook flickr and twitter and stuff, cna multitask (unlike the iphone) and it'll get better and better as android comes...
