I’ve used Ubuntu on a 2012 Mac Book Pro, non-retina. Installing was straightforward and Ubuntu is a great production environment.
I know it’s over a decade old, but it still runs macos just fine. However, I’m at the terminal OS for this machine, and am looking to Ubuntu to help keep this machine working.

Are there video editors for Ubuntu which are comparable to either Final Cut Pro or Premiere Pro? I don’t need to have a clone of those applications, but I’d like to have something with a professional...
