[all variants] Re: Recommend a USB hard drive for recording

My netbook only has USB inputs. I'll be using a USB card with two channels in and out, so no more than two tracks will be recorded at once. I suppose I might end up with ten 48kHz stereo tracks'...

[ubuntu] Re: Focusrite Saffire 6 USB

Back when I was on the market for a USB audio interface, I could not find one single report of someone being able to make this interface run on Linux. If you haven't bought one yet, don't buy one.

If you modify the sox command string inside that mess to

    "sox " $1 " foo/" substr($1,1,index($1,".")-1) "48.wav rate 48000"

the output should come out as foo/whatever48.wav.
