None? I'm enjoying the Blackberry. Enterprise server is something none of the others can match for business use. They have the kits to develop in Java for it as well.
You can take the bridge down for internet access like this:
ifconfig <bridge name> down
brctl delbr <bridge name>
As far as getting it all working, this page is old, but I used it in 7.10...
I have not done this in Linux, but the concept should be the same as Windows. You have to bridge the wireless connection to the wired connection. In Ubuntu it requires doing some command line work...
If I remember correctly from my old setup, I had to put a new panel with a Window List on the secondary display. Each Window List would show on the applications on its own relative display.
I think it goes like this:
1. Manufacturers use the conversion that 1 kb = 1000 bytes, 1 mb = 1000 kb, 1 gb = 1000 mb.
2. Traditional (and technically more correct) methods work so that 1 kb =...
Did you get the Live desktop when you booted with the CD?
It's a fresh install, I'll just lose the updates.
Last time it happened I had a different hard disk in it, so I'm making the assumption it's not that. Linux isn't a space hog like Windows, so I...
Thanks for the reply.
Haven't tried that but I will. This is not my work computer, so I'm up for about anything on this. I just really didn't know where to start. I had forgotten all about it...
This is probably a very weird coincidence, but it only happens with Ubuntu on my desktop. (ASUS P5ND-SLI mobo, 1 Gb Ram, Pentium D). When booting, both cold and restarts, it stops on the ASUS mobo...

It does seem that the names in the Absolute Beginner topic have changed, but I think it's just the effect of a new release. The experienced members still post when the problems get too difficult. ...
I always thought of redundant as having a second or third of something which you only need one. That seems to be the way I've heard it most of my life. It was the useless definition that I didn't...
Agreed that it can be squeezed into definition 1, but how many people who see that page have a dictionary in their lap? Connotation of a word is important when it comes to reaching large numbers.

I love the naming scheme of Ubuntu, but when I first read them, I was so lost. This name might feel appropriate to many who are like I was then:
Jumbled Jibberish ???
Might as well get myself a post in the "I've been refreshing the main page for hours" thread.
Finishing a 12-hour shift. I have refreshed the main page every 15 mintues since midnight...

I read a lot of things with the same opinion as yours. That is why it would have to only be implemented as an option. I don't like being forced to use something either.
I hadn't noticed the...
I was doing my usual distro-hopping (on my second hard drive, Ubuntu is my functioning OS) and I came across something I found interesting. Mint comes with its Google search plugin modified to use...
Sweet! Thanks!
I guess I could have actually LOOKED first...that one was fairly obvious wasn't it.....
Is there a place one could purchase these stickers? I burned my own CD's, but I think it would be cool to support Ubuntu by purchasing some stickers.
After a couple of installs, I get everything running in about an hour on my stuff.
However, I do notice the following relationship:
More forum time = more new ideas = more tweaking = more...
Worked perfectly first try. Thank you very much for this easy to use tutorial.
5-10 minutes to work right now by car. I plan on attempting a bicycle once spring arrives.
I have driven 70+ minutes to work 5-6 days a week at one point in my life. It wasn't fun, but...
