Live cd ia up to date and allows to work with unmounted Drives. The best way to form partitions.
Get a Gparted Live CD. Boot from it. Erase everything in your drive after you have saved what you need. Then format your entire drive NTFS or use your Windows Installation Disk. Install Windows.
When you have a proprietary driver; you have to reinstall it at the time of the kernel upgrade.
If you use Windows; download ImgBurn. Install it. Go to Mode>ISO. Set the speed to 1x
Erase the drive after saving your data. Install Windows in sda. After that make a partition for Ubuntu and install it
