    Re: What happened to Ubuntu?

    On a long shot I loaded Ubuntu 13.10. Waste time it is even worst than 12.04. You would think a weather indicator would be a standard, not with 12.04 or 13.10. I didn't even find one for 13.10 in...

    Re: What happened to Ubuntu?

    I have most of the indicators I want loaded. The order is a mess. I am trying KDE next. Changed my mind, I have VMware loaded so I am going to test both Kunbuntu and Xubuntu in a VM. I read that...

    Re: What happened to Ubuntu?

    I don't miss Gnome; I miss being able to configure things the way I want, like changing the order of indicators or even removing a default indicator.

    Re: What happened to Ubuntu?

    Sorry for the confusion, I wasn't referring to the customization of TLP just the missing graphical user interface (GUI). Chrome and FireFox both have that much. Thank you again for your replies.
  9. [SOLVED] Re: Anyone successfully running the Nvidia 331.20 graphics driver on 12.04.4?

    Computer stuff is difficult since every board is a little different between manufacturers unless they are reference design and even then they likely differ. So what works with most cards may not...

    What happened to Ubuntu?

    <Rant ON>
    Back 5 years ago I was running Ubuntu Hardy Heron. I thought it was great at the time. When I decided I wanted to play games I moved to Windows 7. Well now I am back with much better...

    [ubuntu] Re: Hardy freezes

    I think we are just reporting what we have tried and what works. For some it is one thing for others another. Perhaps there is a common program that touches all of these areas.
