Hopw did you customise QtCurve, I'm trying to get mine to look more like yours but can't.
  5. Re: The value of all recorded music in the world.

  7. Re: Google Chrome developer has some things to say about Linux

There are plenty of Windows XP apps that don't work in Vista, so I wouldn't really use Windows as a shining example of backwards compatability anymore.

Windows 7 basically uses a Virtualised copy...
  8. Re: Google Chrome developer has some things to say about Linux

How many regular users want to use 14 year old software? Let's get real.

  12. Re: Why OpenOffice is not being used by corporations?

A lot of the time it's ignorance.
A lot of the time companies simply prefer to fork out the cash (they probably get discounts that you and I would never see) rather than have their employees get...

    Poll: Re: Mozilla Jetpack. Wow.

I think OP doesn't make it fully clear the aims of Jetpack, it allows you to add statusbar buttons, toolbar icons and stuff too, whereas greasemonkey allows you to run scripts to affect the site...
  15. Re: if windows applications can run on linux why not mac ?

The way i see it, it would take the same amount of effort to get Mac apps to run as it would to get Windows apps to run, and no-one wants Mac apps enough. There's very few applications that are...

Re: ive done it ive gone to freebsd

That article just says that neither Linux nor BSD bother getting certified due to the cost, doesn't say that they aren't compliant, and it seems to strongly imply that they are (at least mostly)
  17. Re: How people get more work done on Ubuntu?

    Multiple workspaces.
Moving/copying/deleting files is much quicker with command line (The command line is nowhere near as useful in windows)
Default text editors of any Linux distro i've ever seen...

Poll: Re: Does anyone actually use Ekiga?

  22. Re: Costa Rica chooses Microsoft over Gnu/Linux
