  1. [ubuntu] Re: Ubuntu 12.04 - Issues with NVIDIA proprietary drivers and mplayer

Not really, I'm using the 295.* set just fine on 10.04 right now.
Strange, though. I guess I can try switching drivers again?
  2. [ubuntu] Re: Ubuntu 12.04 - Issues with NVIDIA proprietary drivers and mplayer

Bump. Had enough. Reverted back to 10.04.

[ubuntu] vim behaves oddly in xmonad

I installed Ubuntu 9.04 on my Thinkpad T61 about a week back. I decided to try xmonad for my window manager as I wanted to try a lightweight tiling WM.

I was able to configure much of it without...

I've been using Ubuntu since late 2007, starting with Gutsy. While suspend has traditionally been an issue with nVidia graphics cards, I generally solved it by modifying the...

[other] Re: Display brightness in Fluxbox?

    Yup same here.
I tried installing tpb on fluxbox and adding to ~/.fluxbox/startup, but to no avail.

I also tried directly writing to the brightness file in /proc/acpi but no luck either. Do the...

Re: Doubt with hash_map in C++ STL

Well, thanks, that's a mistake in my code actually. I just wanted to hash the characters that were already present, so I should remove the for loop that stores 'em.

Doubt with hash_map in C++ STL

    Hi.

I was using a hash table of characters for this codec that I was programming. However, this is my first brush with the hash_map structure defined in the STL.

[ubuntu] Re: Problem with w32 codecs and everything .wmv

Well, that still didnt solve the problem. I had to do the ugly thing of moving the w32codecs to /usr/lib/win32

I have one question though : Would it be possible to do...
  21. Re: Editing ld.so.conf not making a difference in opencv

Would changing the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable make a difference? And is it advisable to do so without affecting other components that use that environment variable?
  22. Re: Editing ld.so.conf not making a difference in opencv

Well, yeah, that worked. I just manually linked *all* the libraries.
