Thank you. Off to experiment with various configurations one of which will probably work.
I am attempting to mirror my laptop display (Xubuntu 20.04) with a TV for a large group presentation using an HDMI cable. When I go to display from the menu the mirror option is greyed out so I...
Just realized that 19.10 has also reached EOL. dino99 gave excellent advise. Your best, quickest, and easiest course of action is to perform a fresh install after saving your data.
To upgrade from 19.04 to 20.04, one must first upgrade to 19.10 and then to 20.04.
Glad it worked for you.
I am not sure if you can create a bootable DVD with that program. I have always used XFBurn to create bootable DVD's. It is installed in Xubuntu and Lubuntu by default. It is very tiny program and...
See my reply to https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2443930. Appears to be the same problem.
I have a similar problem and am also running Xubuntu 18.04 (My CPU is an AMD Ryzen 3 3200U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx) It started to occur after I upgraded the kernel to 5.3.0-53. I tried a few...
Since Lubuntu changed from lxde to lxqt after the 18.04 version, an update to 20.04 is generally not recommended. A clean install is your best bet (as recommended by mörgæs.) You should not run...
Are you talking about the LXPanel? Check to make sure that you do not have it minimized when not in use.
I had the same problem with my Dell Inspiron 14-3452. https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2432565. The previous kernel functions normally or you can install the 5.xx kernel which also...
FYI there is a bug report filed: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1854798
Gracias
Yesterday I had booted with a live Ubuntu 18.04.3 and this morning I just booted with a live Lubuntu 18.04.3 and the trackpad functions as it should. So apparently I have a choice of 1. reinstalling...
Yes the system is fully updated. However, it was installed as 18.04 and that version uses the 4.15 kernel. I don't believe the kernel is automatically upgraded as updates are released A fresh...
I have Lubuntu 18.04.3 installed on my Dell Inspiron 14-3452 laptop and I have been cruising dumb, fat, and happy for several years until the release of kernel 4.15.0-72. Since I use a wireless...
Indeed. There is an Arizona Special Interest Group from the Tucson Computer Society that meets in Tucson. http://www.aztcs.org/sigs/linux.shtml
You are only seeing the demise of lxde in Lubuntu. It still exists in some 40 other distributions and for the time being is still in the Ubuntu repositories.
Sparky is based upon Debian testing.
The sent information is likely still on the mail server depending upon how you set up Thunderbird. I too use Thunderbird and during set up I chose POP but also chose to retain copies of messages on...
Check the answer given here. https://askubuntu.com/questions/886092/how-do-i-disable-the-touchpad-while-typing#886098
I think that you should try a newer version since Lubuntu 14.4 reached End Of Life back in April of 2017 and is no longer supported. The current LTS version is 18.04.
+1. However, the UFW is disabled by default. You either have to enable it from the command line or use the GUFW to enable it has you have already done. You generally do not have to do anything...
Aah CatKiller (nice nick) you are probably correct because that occasionally happens to me when I am using one of my laptops. explodyboompow, you can either place the cursor off the document that...
Are you talking about raising the window when the cursor hovers over it? That can be disabled in Openbox Configuration under mouse.
