I couldn't resist using the Ubuntu news item to get some exposure for this project, especially since Canonical is focusing to much on making the Dash cluttered with stuff we don't want giving this...
Seems a never ending story. Even though I really like spending time on this project all other daily activities have kept me pretty much occupied.
I've decided to keep this thread from presenting...
Forgot to mention that I had installed python-spice-client-gtk as well (client side). Virt-manager throws an error in the console screen without it.
Although the screen is black for a while, with...
Been busy lately, so haven't had much time drawing a lot. I did however added a screen showing the display state and what is should be exposing.
I also made a Google+ page for this project. You...
Thanks Favux!
Even thought I would be capable compiling my own kernel I try to avoid it whenever possible. I'm not using (especially) this computer to play with it's OS, it just has to work. So I...
Installed 3.4-rc6-precise from the mainline and it's working again.
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.4-rc6-precise/
This kernel however, does not contain the sources to compile...
After some searching it seems to be a crashing module introduced in the 3.2.* kernel.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1021069
And so any use of this tablets ends (once again).
I've installed 12.04 from scratch (new harddisk) and from now on the tablet connects but that's it. It completely stopped working (again).
It does...
I just installed the qemu-kvm-spice (available in 12.04) and created a new VM using virt-manager selecting spice as video output.
Nothing more to it and it worked just fine, besides the...
Tested 302.17 for about an hour until it crashed on me again. Back to 290.10 it is.
Download the driver here:
32Bits
Driver:...
Anyone? I've been trying installing agents, but it's still not running smooth at all.
It's included by default in 12.04 (qemu-kvm-spice), but it's performance isn't very good.
Don't see much difference between VNC and Spice at the moment.
Any thoughts?...
Although it's been a while and things have changed a lot, I still think Ubuntu can use a better interface.
One that exposes all the needed and nifty features the Linux desktop has te offer in a...
I've been using the 302.* beta driver to fix this issue, which did help but still suffered from it.
Instead of within the hour it occured within a day. I'll be waiting till people are using this...
For all people affected try using 290.10 driver for now.
I've been running this driver for almost a month now and it hasn't crashed on me since (And it did almost certainly within a hour of usage)....
Updated the website, made it look cooler and added global explanation and descriptions to current images.
Don't forget to Like/+1 it! ;)
Although I agree things should have some degree of configuration options (Unity has none), it should however facilitate in a consistent interface which users can accustom to.
You can't expect people...
The load and size on the system is, for now, not important. I'm nowhere near implementing anything yet.
The animations are also at the end of the line, but these are indeed very important, but again...
I agree it looks like there is happening more within Gnome Shell, I'm not convinced this is better or worse compared to Unity.
I'm also using quite a lot different DE's and devices and am pretty...
Well, how about moving your mouse? Pressing ALT+Center button will turn your pointer in the 1 of 8 resize icons depending on where you mouse is at that moment in the underlying window, just moving...
Sure, if you don't mind! ;)
Although I would like to post this somewhere else, I'm not really interested in joining a mailing list just for this purpose.
I'll just wait until someone on launchpad will assign this to someone...
I haven't seen any options within any OS to fix this particular issue with digital outputs.
The nVidia driver does support this for analog video ouput.
Haven't seen a TV that did not have this...
Pressing alt + the middle button does work, but he's right and we shouldn't have to rely on shortcuts.
The area which will turn the cursor in the resize arrow is to small, underneath/besides the...
I think Gnome Shell hides to much functionality so I definitely not recommend that one. Unity seems, next to the Gnome 2 implementations, the best choose.
You should un-install the indicator-appmenu...
