But the OP wasn't looking at lvm stuff, as is mentioned in the first post:
I suggest you attempt to remount home first. Assuming your /etc/fstab is OK - what you've managed to post of it looks OK - simply do:
sudo mount -a
And then test home.

A few comments:
The sizes shown would be the originals. Your resize2fs command merely shrunk the filesystem, not the actual partition. They are different things - you have a filesystem...

The OP hasn't been back since the day they posted their one and only post on this forum. No point in allowing this thread to be necromanced any more. It will only attract spammers. Closed.
@marksmith989898, I've restored the original text of your post which you removed in its entirety. Removing the text like that:

Thread moved to Ubuntu/Debian BASED sub-forum.
Ever since Canonical IS hardened the server after a serious hack some years ago, the vBulletin software occasionally and unpredictably does kooky things like this, and adds insult to injury by...
@Graham1, thanks for the clarification. I've moved your thread back into the Ubuntu Official Flavours area, specifically to the Hardware section. I vaguely remember similar issues being reported...
That's a very broad and sweeping statement. How many Brother scanners and how many different Brother models have you tested yourself? Or are you citing other sources? What exactly do you mean by...
Really? SSO = single sign-on. That's the first place I would look to change my login email.
Moved to Resolution Centre.
Your forum profile email has nothing to do with login, which is carried out by Ubuntu One SSO. Go to your Ubuntu One account - https://login.ubuntu.com/ - and change...
