    A "buffer overflow" is a type of programming error. You allocate some memory to take data but there's more data then you allocated memory for; then the data will be written beyond the allocated area....

    Well, now that you're using the same terminology as me I can understand your problem ;)

    Have you checked "Settings" -> "General" -> "Tabs" whether "Open Links in new tabs instead of new windows"...

    Not much you can do about it. Whether a link you click on opens in the same tab/window or a new one is controlled in HTML by the target-attribute of the a-tag which is how a link is written in html....
