I had to use sudo qtsixa to do that.

Sixad is working just fine for me on natty , I use a script to connect my sixaxis :

hcitool dc 00:21:4F:05:3F:98 <-- you need to change this
sudo killall sixad-bin
sudo killall sixad
sudo...

You can use qjoypad to modify the inputs

If you connect the usb it will keep blinking untill it's fully charged. did you try to test using jstest ?

Installation is covered in post 1 , after that i would run : sudo qtsixa in a terminal and go to setup device and choose "use as keyboard and mouse" and I would choose gnome as a profile.

i found it easier to have 2 scripts :

1 connect sixaxis

echo password | sudo -S hcitool dc XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
echo password | sudo -S killall sixad-bin
echo password | sudo -S...

Is it possible to have different bluetooth devices trigger diffrent actions?

How is this solved? i still have this issue in 10.10

I upgraded both my desktop and my laptop(clean install) to 10.10 64 bit.
What I noticed is that usually it happens when there's sound on (music/vlc/youtube/mame) i hear the last second of sound...

hplip is available in the ubuntu repos. just run hp-setup :)

I just tried VLC and it has the same issue. It's funny how it only happens to these 2 apps for me.
