What a revelation.
I tend to think it is. It seems like most people are very concerned with making money. It seems like a universal thing. No matter where you live, or no matter where you are, money is pervasive and...
I just do Super key + N and those colors go away. Better at night also.
If anyone I know is even aware of ubuntu, they are probably using it. Once you know, you ubuntu.
Isn't that an oxymoron?
Don't be so dramatic. ;) I would give peppermint a shot, worked good for me. If not, just keep trying different distros. Puppy anyone? Btw, I think puppy 4.2.1 was the best ever and still use it on...
I have no complaints with anything multimedia in ubuntu. Everything I've tried works perfectly. But perhaps I'm just one of the lucky ones.
I would try K3B for making audio cd's. K3B rocks.
All of these ideas are really great and would love to see them happen, but who is going to pay for airtime? It costs major amounts of money to advertise on TV and radio.
As a workaround, I just go to system>administration>nvidia x server settings and temporarily change it so that the second monitor is disabled. Then put it back after playing. This is temporary, so...
If you are that concerned, just go http://shop.canonical.com/index.php?cPath=19 and buy the restricted stuff.
That's a weak argument. What about the people who know 20 linux users? I personally know 6 users.
Just go to system>administration>software sources>other software and click the add button. Put in: ppa:ubuntu-mozilla-daily/ppa
Then do:
sudo apt-get updateFirefox 4 will now show up in...

I would completely remove pulse audio and alsa and rebuild alsa with module assistant. Then do:
sudo apt-get clean && sudo apt-get autoremove
then
sudo apt-get install module-assistant
then

When you go to the system monitor, try right clicking the offending app, and choose kill process.
It seems that some people are not good at googling, so even providing a link for someone can start them in the right direction even when you don't know the answer.
Here you go.
I got it done by doing a video DVD project in K3B, and dragging the video_ts folder into the window. Worked great.
Thank you very much. I remember df now, but it's been a while since I've used it.
Thanks, but that only tells me how much I'm using, and not how big my home partition is. I just reinstalled and made a separate /home that is about 110gb, and would like a way to check the overall...
Thanks for the quick reply. From the article: Note, that resizing and moving partitions is a time-consuming process – it may take hours, depending on the size of your partitions, so reserve enough...
When I installed ubuntu 10.04, I did not have a separate /home partition. I had just / and swap. So how do I go about resizing /home when it is just part of 1 big partition? Is it possible without...
I have a folder called VIDEO-TS filled with .vob files and other things. I did it before, but don't remember what I used to make it a regular dvd video. I tried Devede, but when I drag the folder to...
Just wondering how I find out how big my /home is, and how much is being used. Thanks.
