I'm stuck in 800x600 resolution right now. Let me tell you how I got here.
1) I upgraded from 7.10 to 8.0.4.1
2) I did some tinkering which I can't remember to get the graphics driver to work...

OK. Say I do ctrl-alt-F2 to kill a troublesome application. How do I cleanly get back to the desktop? I want to avoid resetting the X session or the computer itself if possible. I'm hoping for...
