Maybe theres an issue with DHCP causing an ip conflict, but i guess you alredy restarted the router after waiting 30s..?

When i click on activities i have another dock shown on the left side so that it overlaps with the main dock...
can i deactivate or hide this activities...

Can you see it when you type xrandr in terminal?
