I've been using linux as a sole OS since October '99, which makes it just over 9 years since I started with it.
hrm...just tried 3.0.4 v 3.1b2 in Arch, and in start up time they are just as fast, but I disabled all my extensions first. However, it does seem that 3.1 uses less memory.
