    Thanks a million Toz, it's working after changing the grub with the acpi_backlight=vendor
    entries removed and one of them replaced with
    acpi_backlight=video
    I'm able to control the screen...

    Yes, I've restarted and checked after those changes. I'd already changed the "RegistryDwords" option before from one of the earlier posts in this thread too... It hasn't worked yet. Here's the dump...
