yes, all you need is to run the commands in terminal. You may have to revert the ppa to raring if they are not (yet) supported in saucy(most likely).
according to the raring launchpad page, it will be released in about 3 hours.

just recently started running into this issue. at first not that big a deal, but now it's become a pain in the rear. I have tried installing the plugin to no avail......
running gnome version of Raring and this morning after running apt-get update/dist-upgrade xorg is constantly crashing.

3.8.0.11 is not booting on my computer either. Does anyone know if a bug has been filed for this issue on launchpad?

seeing the same thing on xubuntu. Was able to boot with 3.8.0.9 but not 3.8.0.10
Totally agree. this is what I did when upgrading from Quantal to Raring.
Set is up using Ubuntu Tweak
If you are running Unity, looks like you can also use Unity Tweak tool
Just tried it and it worked for me. I have a 2x3 workspace config and was able to go left, right, up and down.

Why is this the case? I find it particularly annoying that each time Settings is launched the workspaces switches back to 2x2. Is there any way to work around this issue?
funny thing - I can't get unity tweak tool to work. It crashes on startup every time.
