Awesome, I'll try this when I get home :)
  4. [all variants] Re: eGalaxTouch touchscreen clicks on second tap

I had that same problem (greyed out settings boxes) on my eGalax too... I never figured out a way to fix it. I couldn't get the eGalax driver to work at all in Lucid so I'm not sure what else to do.
  5. [ubuntu] Re: How to allow remote RDP client to connect

    Huh, I'm stumped then :/
  6. [ubuntu] Re: How to allow remote RDP client to connect

You mean when you run rdesktop/tsclient and successfully connect, the resulting window is full-screened? In that case make sure your settings in rdesktop/tsclient aren't conflicting with the...
  7. [all variants] Re: eGalaxTouch touchscreen clicks on second tap

There should have been some sort of utility that got installed along with the driver that let's you modify the behavior of the touchscreen. I think it's called eGalaxtouch or something like that. Try...

Re: need good, light IDE for C,C++

+1 for geany. Anjuta is also nice, but not exactly light weight.
  10. Re: I/O redirection, and C programming in general.

+1 for geany, definitely my favorite IDE for small projects. If you ever migrate to larger/GUI projects, take a look at anjuta/glade.

  12. Poll: Re: Best programming language for embedded systems

I've done a bunch of stuff with AVR's which use C with a bit of assembly. ARM's, from what I've read, are similar (and can run Ubuntu!). I've never used PIC's, but I believe those are also C with...

Re: Link a library in Anjuta

Well, I kind of figured it out...

Anjuta doesn't have a GUI method for linking to libraries that don't use the 'pkg-config' interface, which seems to be most libraries :(. Instead, you have to add...

  15. [ubuntu] Re: Should I install "kubuntu-desktop" on my Ubuntu?

I had serious stability issues with KDE in both 8.10 and 9.04, but 9.10 seems very solid. I think I've only had 1 KDE application crash on me since I upgraded both my laptops and my computer at work...

  20. Re: Suggestions to improve speed of plotting code (Python/matplotlib)

Digging around the matplotlib documentation led me to this page which seems to be what I'm looking for:

  21. Re: Suggestions to improve speed of plotting code (Python/matplotlib)

Well, it's not really the calculation in the for loop that's slowing me down... it's the act of updating the plot window.

I suppose a more apt description of my problem is something like this:

  22. Suggestions to improve speed of plotting code (Python/matplotlib)
