    I just tried killing my MBP and the issue with the driver not working after seems to have gone....quite odd considering there havent been that many changes since 0.5

    One bug I have found is when forcfully shutting down and booting up again, the trackpad doesnt have any of the advanced features, just moving the mouse, no tapping or anything.

    Perhaps ask the user if he has a macbook pro or macbook air.

    YES! The quirks in the /etc/modprobe.d/bcm5974 had the penryn model commented out.
    I commented the air model and removed the comment for the penryn model.
    It now works and I can use the synaptics...

    The fatal load issue has gone now, but I have the same problem as RonakG. The mouse pointer moves, but when I look in the Xorg log it says it cant find a synaptic device.
