Re: New Installation from DVD ISO failing?

Exactly at which point do you get these errors?
    Right after power on/BIOS boot?
    After the blue pre-installation screen?
    After the full install?

The first line on your screen shot is harmless,...

Re: New Installation from DVD ISO failing?

I wonder why an install is trying to start snap. Doesn't make sense to me.

    Re: Issue after installing Bitwarden

Quite frankly, I'd say that getting your basic install stable and running is issue number one.

The Bitwarden thing can be fixed afterwards, Internet access runs from the start without issues.

    Re: Issue after installing Bitwarden

It seems you might have made a bit of a mess with your Ubuntu install.
The terminal prompt tells you that you are user "katrine" logged into the machine "bitwarden". I don't know if this is correct?...

[ubuntu] Re: azerty keyboard not recognized on VM

You probably need to install the keyboard layout in your VM first. Otherwise it always defaults to US no matter what you try to select.

[ubuntu] Re: How large a /boot recommended for 21.10?

    Interesting discussion.
    I just checked my /boot, it's 207 MiB in size. CORRECTION: that's the directory. I don't have a /boot partition.
I've never done anything with it, so this is the size...

Re: Format HP Laptop for Ubuntu

Let the Lubuntu installer do the formatting. Plan your partitions first and select manual partioning. File system should be ext4, and tick the "format" option for each partition.
    The Lubuntu...

I'm failing to see the problem here. The UNIX/POSIX/Linux directory structure is well defined and standardised.

  10. Re: "--add-architecture i386" Rendered Laptop Unbootable?

Well, you managed a USB boot. That's always the first/biggest hurdle and it's done. Legacy or UEFI doesn't matter. And HPs are normally easy to install.

Did you even run the installer? It's on the...

Re: Where am I going wrong installing 20.04.3

Normally, the installer will do the job for you. But not always.
First a Disclaimer: I'm very experienced with Lubuntu (four old HP laptops running 20.04), but it has a different installer...

Re: Convert VHS tape to mp4

I can only say: watch ebay, craigslist and other channels to see if one of those players pop up. Unfortunately, most people just see them as old electronics for the dump. Be patient.
    That's also how...

Re: Convert VHS tape to mp4

Sorry to hear about your bad results.
But perhaps your expectations are too high. VHS quality corresponds approximately to 380 x 280 resolution, which is not very good. No real way to enhance this,...

OK, I put on my thinking hat.

Where do I put scripts to make them work?

I'm a total noob to scripts and looking for your help, please.

I've written my first script, which looks like this:

The second batch of error messages seem to imply that you have bad partitioning (very unlikely, the installer would detect that).
More likely is, that you have a defective disk/SSD.
    You seem to...
