I have 10.04 installed on my WD 40GiB (sda1) with a WD 80GiB (sdb1) installed for extra storage.

Just a little report on my progress. I had it working and was on line for about 20 minutes. This all through the terminal I then typed in CNTL C then hit enter to exit and didn't notice anything...
