hi , well as offgridguy said, xubuntu 10.10 release is no longer supported so perhaps the best thing to do would be to download 12.04 :D

lets see are you trying to upgrade from 11.10 to 12.04 by cdrom?

I had a similar problem with an older style machine, I had to install LXDE and it runs great ...or perhaps it might be an issue with your graphics card

hey there, sometimes BIOS updates come with bugs, so therefore like Habitual said if you are not having any problems with your BIOS at the moment, just don't mess with it ;)

Hey how are you well first of all, for handling and updating packages you can use the following two commands sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
