    i deleted all the linux partitions and then resized the little 3gb partition to fill up the whole D drive :)

    what i meant was, will reformatting the d drive cause me to lose everything that was partitioned for Ubuntu ?

    So, should i just right-click the d drive, go format and then fix my bootloader...

    Being fairly noob at all this, i tried to install Ubuntu again, just off the CD.
    Dunno if that was a really, really stupid thing to do, or not :S...

    Stiiiil nothing.

    I have now deleted that driver and reverted back to the old Marvel one.
    At least i am closer to the target :P

    My monitor is a gateway FPD1800 and graphics card is ATI Radeon 7200

    mmm well i've got the v3 version of the card, which sucks basically.
    They changed the chipset to Marvel, so you have to use ndiswrapper.

    hmmm....

    tricky stuff.

    Whenever i restart the machine, ubuntu starts in low-graphics mode.
    I don't know why :S
    So i have to choose the monitor and graphics card again.

    And then when i log in, the wireless doesn't work...

    well, when i go to hardware drivers, there's nothing there :S

    It just says something about having no proprietary drivers installed or something :S

    And in the box, there's no options.
