    What settings do you have in the VM? RAM? Video RAM? CPU? NIC type...... and so on. Please give as many details as possible. What version of VMWare are you using?
    Did you verify the ISO is complete...

    If you are on a home network it'll probably be the subnet "255.255.255.0" or "/24" either way is the same, depends what the input will accept.
