    I just chmoded the bin +x and then executed it sayeng yes to all the preconf. parms. After that a new item was added to my applications menu>Internet. Just click and enjoy.

    sudo gem install rails --include-dependencies

    As the repos don't contain mysql5 it's mandatory to compile.:(

    Php5 is in the repos but it doesn't have support for mysqli so it's fairly useless.:(
