should we be celebrating the 600'th page? :guitar: ... yea ok, not a big deal
got it thanks!
No argument from me there. Newness (especially as indicated by an ID) doesn't inherently indicate a lack of knowledge. That said, there are cases where I would trust some "seniority" over a new name....
ubuntuman & Exodist (& maybe others while I slowly compose my response),
I know what you mean about the potential for someone just joining but being truly authoritative, but we're not Slashdot,...
lol... ok, laughing AND crying... just too much fun for me to take, and all in one syllable!
Big thanks 今幸福!
I'm really not very good at CSS, so I'm sort of learning as I go. But I found a decent looking 3'rd party site that I liked, and have been tweaking since then. More than actually...
I've done it before, and am doing it again.
I had to go back to dual booting a little over a year ago when I had course material I couldn't get to run in non-Microsoft, but that's behind me now. I...
Oh no, it's that Crunchy guy ;)
Not that it will make a huge difference, but I've blown away my dual boot Vista/Jaunty and gone to a straight Karmic install (it buys me 20+GB on an 80GB drive).
It's actually gone fairly well...
ok... crunchy FTW
I don't have a problem with how it is now. Though I see your point of view, if it were to remove "bean counts" for any closed or otherwise downwardly mobile threads, there would still be an issue...
Thanks! I'm nothing special with graphics, but really enjoy threads like this. I always learn something new in them.
PLEASE STICKY THIS THREAD! it's not that I'm really all that interested (though I was very pleased when I found out about Conkey vs running a bunch of glitchy widgets I couldn't make look the way I...
I cant tell much about mine. the acutal Logitech model number is worn away on the bottom (along with most of the feet...seriously, the hard plastic that surrounds the slippery inserts is gone even!)....
I'm using blogger for my Ubuntu blog and am pretty happy with it. Ashiamed to admit it, but the biggest thing in my selecting it was knowing that it was already part of the Google empire, therefor...
I feel sort of "meh" about the default theme. I always stick with it for about a day when I do an install of a new version.
But I prefer darker, more modern themes. These days I'm using Ubuntu...
ubuntu-stoke ...pretty much the same as my blog
a +1 for Liferea feedreader (think it was mentioned earlier in the thread).
I can tell you for a fact that you should thank your stars that my job is unionised. If it wasn't the companies in my industry would abuse the laws even worse. If someone in my position makes a...
Sort of a newb question from me then (I don't compile my own stuff often, and when I do I'm pretty much just following someone-else-helpfull's paint by numbers), if I install the "official versions"...
Thanks Exodist, and nice badges (I had noticed them in their main thread before)!
I've made a few adjustments now. Switched some graphics and altered colours, so I think it's looking less template-like.
That icon set is pretty slick. You should be able to download it directly here (gnome-look). I'll adjust the link I'm using on the Blog to reflect that.
It's worth looking at mattahan's other...
Yea, I'll "bump" this thread when I've got it looking less generic :)
