I was having a similar problem. What I ended up doing was just disabling the built-in Chrome flash plugin and installed the Adobe Flash plug-in with the HAL stuff.

I'm seeing the exact same issue here under Cedega. I get the repeat character stuttering deal and it doesn't seem to matter if I'm running under DirectX emulation or OpenGL.
