Wasnt quite sure where to put this since I am doing this all on a ubuntu install on my main computer so I figured since the actual work is involving ubuntu I would put this here.
I am following...

If I recall correctly, Natty had my bluetooth working out of the box. Currently I'm running Crunchbang though, so maybe I need to double...
That's completely bizarre to me, ever since lucid (I think) we've had full bluetooth support. Have you attempted to turn visibility on?
I know that may sound obvious, but just checking, since we...
Stupid me, I had created a partition and extracted the contents of the ISO to the partition itself. Stupid mistake, trying that now and seeing the results.
Basic Problem: I have a disk image that I cannot use any disk utility to place on a flash drive and have it successfully boot.
Solution: So my basic thought is that, of course, if I burn this same...
I have updated the BIOS using a guide earlier in this thread, but too lazy to find it again. Basically you download the update and extract an ISO file that you use to update :)

Using a lucid kernel w/ muffinman's guide on maverick works fantastic...
Yeah, have had that option on since before lucid but still experiencing some times where I gotta tickle the thing awake. It's beta so I guess I can't complain too badly (yet) and I suspect it'll be...
On Lucid bluetooth doesn't work, and yeah, takes ages to boot because the computer has a power saving "feature" that stops the hardrive if there is no input. "tickling" - moving finger side to side-...
I ponder if using a maverick kernel would work on previous versions. Currently running Maverick beta and it gloriously allows everything to work and a kernel swap would be an exceedingly simple...
As far as my solution goes, you shouldn't need to do anything else. It works on a clean install of Ubuntu as of now as long as you do all your updates first
To get it all working just head back a few pages and check out my solution. This kernel business is overkill when you can just amend a file and be good to go

My boot speeds are magnificent, haven't had to change anything in the slightest with the minor exception of a quick fix for my sound

The workaround for sound is to add:

I'll go ahead and say this is solved, thanks man. It's obvious not the fault of Banshee that it can't stream these mms streams and a product of recent tinkering with my desktop. I use my laptop for...
